Question 1

Does MojoRepair charge for diagnosis?

Accepted Answer

The Diagnosis + Service Visit is ₹499 (regular ₹799) and comes with no obligation to repair — you'll know the cost and cause before we touch anything further.

Question 2

What is the typical turnaround time for a laptop repair?

Accepted Answer

Most laptop repairs are completed within 24 to 48 hours once the cause is confirmed, depending on parts availability for the exact model.

Question 3

Does MojoRepair use genuine parts?

Accepted Answer

Yes — RAM, SSDs, batteries, chargers and displays are sourced directly and matched to the device model, not generic aftermarket substitutes.

Question 4

Can MojoRepair recover data from a hard drive that makes a clicking noise?

Accepted Answer

A clicking hard drive usually means physical head or platter damage. MojoRepair assesses this honestly — success isn't guaranteed on physically damaged drives.

Question 5

What is chip-level repair, and why does it matter?

Accepted Answer

Instead of replacing an entire motherboard, chip-level (board-level) repair fixes the individual component that failed — a shorted MOSFET, a dead charging IC, a failed voltage regulator. Since a replacement board often costs a large share of what the laptop is still worth, repairing the board is usually far cheaper when the fault allows it.

Question 6

My laptop is completely dead. Is the motherboard gone?

Accepted Answer

Usually not. A board showing no sign of life most often has a shorted component on a power rail or a missing always-on voltage, both of which are repairable. Current draw is measured on a bench supply before drawing any conclusion about the board.

Question 7

What should I do if I spill liquid on my laptop?

Accepted Answer

Power it off, do not try to charge it, and bring it in as soon as possible — corrosion keeps spreading while the board sits wet, so time matters more than anything else. Rice does not help; a proper clean does.

Question 8

Should I repair an old laptop or buy a new one?

Accepted Answer

If the repair costs well under half of a comparable replacement, repairing is usually better value. As it approaches that threshold, the age and remaining life of the battery, drive and hinges decide it — MojoRepair advises replacement when that is genuinely the better option.

Question 9

Will personal data stay private during a repair?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Only what the repair requires is accessed, personal files are never copied off a device without asking, and customers are advised to back up critical data before handing over a device.

Question 10

Does MojoRepair offer pickup and drop-off?

Accepted Answer

Yes, pickup and drop-off are available on request when booking a repair.

Question 11

What warranty does MojoRepair offer on repairs?

Accepted Answer

Every repair carries a 90-day warranty covering the part replaced and the labor performed.
